Go to BSNL sdc selfcare portal : http://www.selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in/

Please note that selfcare sdc portal works only on Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Before you need to check the usage, you need to register there (use this guide)

http://techforumindia.com/index.php?topic=4628.0

Those with an active broadband connection (and have entered user ID correctly) can immediately access the portal to check / find their usage. Once you log in, you can see a tab called " Service " on left hand corner of the page. Click it and you will get a page as shown below

1146-0

Here you have two options

1. Check BSNL Dataone broadband billed usage details

This is usage details for what you have already used and bill is generated by BSNL.

Click on the link saying " Check My Broadband Billed Usage Details ", you will now be redirected to a page as shown below

1148-1

Here you have to select

a. Invoice month

Make sure that you do not enter the current month.

b. Telephone no.

Simply use the drop down menu (arrow in the box) to select your telephone no. and you will get a page where you can see your BSNL Dataone broadband usage details ( screen shot shown below)

1150-2

2. Check BSNL Dataone broadband unbilled usage details

The most important of all is the unbilled usage as that is what is our current usage and we need to know how much we used this month in order to make sure that we do not get charged for excess usage. You can click the " Check My Broadband Unbilled Usage Details " (check the first screen shot) and you will be directed to a page as shown below

1152-3

Simply select the telephone no. from the drop down menu of the box. You will able to see a page showing your unbilled usage details (ie, current month). Check the screen shot below

1154-4

As you can see, the  Chargeable units excluding night unlimited  in this screen shot is zero. It is because the user has an unlimited plan. If you have a limited plan (especially with night unlimited), only thing you need to bother is the Chargeable units excluding night unlimited as it is the data used for billing. Even though Total volume is shown high, you need not worry about it as it is the data including the night unlimited usage.

Another important thing you need to note is that in case of plan change, your portal may not show the update values till the end of the month. You need to confirm the data with someone at exchange (if possible get in written) till it is updated.

Though selfcare sdc portal has provision for plan change, you can try this guide as it give better response (mostly in 2 days)
